Their channels are goldmines of lessons for beginners.

When I started writing online I was desperate to improve and wanted expert advice, learn writing techniques and curious about where and how to get jobs and clients.
The courses were exorbitant, so I was selective when opting for them. Another problem is that most free resources are scattered or superficial. So, I turned to YouTube.
My expectations were zero.
But I was wrong. YouTube is the goldmine of writing tips provided you end up in the right corner.
I didn’t just learn some writing tips but acquired the habit of writing regularly and learned how to fight writer’s block.
If you are confused about which writing course you should opt for and not keen on spending a humungous amount of money on writing courses, start with these Youtube videos. Follow them regularly and learn from them the basics with an undivided focus. Then go ahead and join one of their courses ( a few of them offer amazing courses) to sharpen your skills.
But for now, let me help you introduce you to these gems of writers so that you can take the first step towards your learning journey to armour yourself as a compelling, articulate and persuasive writer.
Top 6 YouTubers Every Beginner Writer Should Follow

From childhood, Dan Koe noticed that most people around him were unhappy with their careers, bosses, spouses, colleagues, mornings, nights, self and whatnot.
He knew that there was a better way to live. Complaining doesn’t solve problems, taking things into your own hands does. That’s the only way to avoid the “default lifestyle”.
When kids his age were glued to the TV, he observed creators raking in moolah while enjoying what they did. These creators had freedom, unlike most professionals.
Dan tried several career paths and failed. He had a decent-paying job but he wanted more. Everything changed when Dan realised the power of Twitter (now X). He observed people were just writing short tweets and building their audience there. Over the last 5 years, Dan built products, pivoted his brand, and started living his dream life.
I have learned the following from Dan’s YouTube channel (and I am sure it will help you the same way to grow as a writer.)
- The art of focus
- Writing tips
- How to build your followers on social media
- How to solve your reader’s problem through your services and products
- How to build a healthy body and mind
- How to earn a 6-figure income writing 2-4 hours a day.
- All these and more
The best part about Dan is he doesn’t make it sound like a distant dream. When you read or listen to him and study his tips carefully, you feel that these things are very much doable and the only resource you need is your undivided focus and willpower.

I came across Nicolas Cole on X and loved his writing tips. Then I followed him on YouTube. It’s like I have found a treasure. I was ecstatic that Cole has offered so much value through his channel.
Plus, I could relate to his struggles as a writer. Cole started writing at the age of 17. In 2007, he was one of the highest-ranked Warcraft players in North America and had 10,000 daily readers on his blog.
In 2008, he attended one of the top journalism schools, the University of Missouri, in the country. In one of the lectures, a professor said that blogging is just a trend and cannot be a credible source of writing. He disagreed with him and proved him wrong.
Though his plans were derailed for a brief time due to substance abuse, soon he found his calling and fulfilled his dreams.
As of 2024, Nicolas Cole’s portfolio of writing businesses generates over $6 million in annual revenue.
His paid newsletter, Write With AI, reached $300,000 per year in revenue by November 2024.
Additionally, he has earned over $3 million as a ghostwriter.
Just follow his goldmine of a YouTube channel to get these insights:
- Writing on X
- Jobs for writers
- Ghostwriting tips
- Making money online through writing
- How to build paid newsletters
- How to achieve financial freedom as a writer
This is just a glimpse, so you shouldn’t miss out on this and subscribe to his YouTube channel ASAP.
