Neha Motwani, a Mumbai native, is the co-founder and CEO of Fitternity, a fitness discovery platform acquired by Cure.fit last year. Her journey with Fitternity began in 2013 when she faced challenges restarting her fitness routine while working in the corporate world. Instead of settling for less, Neha turned her problem into a solution that revolutionized the Indian fitness landscape.

Fitness has always been integral to Neha’s life. One of her fondest childhood memories is jogging on Mumbai’s beaches with her father, culminating in a 1km race they both eagerly anticipated. This early exposure to fitness shaped her belief that feeling healthy on the inside reflects on the outside. She followed the same principles as a leader.

Today, Neha maintains a disciplined routine. She starts her day with a 60-minute workout focused on functional training or running. She complements it by meditation since the pandemic. Neha enjoys beach runs and describes them as therapeutic. What’s more, she is steadily working toward her goal of unassisted pull-ups. During the pandemic, she found joy in growing fruits and vegetables in her garden which added freshness to her meals and balanced her life.

As a leader, Neha’s fitness journey has deeply influenced her leadership qualities. She believes fitness is about pushing boundaries which is a lesson she applies to leadership by encouraging her team to innovate and align with their shared goals. Her leadership style is an amalgamation of transformational and participative approaches, fostering open communication and adaptability.

For Neha, fitness has been a constant amid uncertainties, providing her with the energy, focus, and resilience needed to fight challenges. She emphasises self-care and mental health, urging her team to take breaks, spend quality time with loved ones, and prioritise themselves. These principles align with her vision for Fitternity, which is evolving to offer holistic wellness solutions, including mental therapy and nutrition guidance.

Neha’s journey exemplifies how personal passion can fuel professional success. By staying committed to fitness and fostering a culture of well-being, she not only leads by example but also inspires her team to embrace healthier, more balanced lives.
