I always dreamt of working from home. It sounded so cool.

But I had one advantage.

I knew what I wanted to do.

And it was content writing.

I started my career as a teacher. But I never liked teaching. As a result, I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing.

But back then in 2010, if I had told someone I wanted to write and earn, nobody would have believed me and my family members would have dissuaded me from leaving my job for something which they had never heard of.

But nothing could dissuade me as I was determined to try my luck in content writing. One of my seniors was earning well writing content for different companies from home. I knew it wasn’t a hoax and I started fancying my dream work life … sitting in my room and writing blogs and articles from the cosiness of my home.

After we shifted to Gurgaon from Guwahati, I got the opportunity to fulfil my dreams.

My daughter was 1 year old, so I didn’t want to go out and work (actually I never liked the idea of going out for work).

The journey had peaks and valleys but my love for writing gave me the resilience to stay put and here I am living my dream.

So if you are scared to take the first step towards getting your first online job, I am a living and breathing example of a woman earning from home doing it.
